Welcome to The Revenue AI Brief. One AI revenue play, every day, no filler. Here is today’s.

The play: record one repeatable sales task and let Claude run it forever

For two years, using AI for sales meant retyping a good prompt every single time. You explain the task, get an answer, and tomorrow you explain it again from scratch. The knowledge of how you actually do the job never sticks anywhere.

We record the task once instead of describing it. Claude's new Record a skill watches you do the job by hand one time, captures every step, and turns it into a reusable skill you point at fresh inputs and walk away from. I recorded turning a call transcript into my recap email, and it now writes them in my voice without me.

How to run it this week

  1. Pick one narrow task you already do the same way every week and quietly resent, usually the post-call recap or the pre-call brief.

  2. Open the Claude desktop app, find Record a skill in the plus menu, and do the task once slowly and cleanly with the recording on, with none of the shortcuts you would not want copied.

  3. Hand it a fresh input, watch the first three outputs like a hawk, and turn every gap you find into a one-sentence rule. Keep yourself on approval for anything with revenue attached.

Why it works

A prompt is an instruction you give from memory. A recorded skill captures the tacit moves you would never think to write down, so the output reads like you instead of a generic assistant guessing at your voice. The teams getting real leverage moved from doing the task to approving the output. Full breakdown on the blog: https://gc.growthcab.com/claude-for-sales

See you tomorrow with the next play.
