Welcome to The Revenue AI Brief. One play a day on AI applied to revenue, in about three hundred words. Two minutes to read, one thing to run today.
TODAY'S PLAY
price every tool in your prospecting stack by its real cost per booked meeting instead of its sticker price
Every AI prospecting tool sells you on one number: per seat, per credit, or per verified email. That number is the entry fee, and it hides the real cost, which is what you spend to produce one booked meeting. So teams keep the cheap tool that quietly burns rep hours and domain reputation, and they never see that the pricier one was the affordable choice.
We price ai sales prospecting tools by cost per booked meeting rather than by what the pricing page shows. I learned this testing AI models, where the option that looked cheaper per token took 127 turns to Fable's 67 and wrote me 2.46 times more to read. The same math decides which prospecting tool actually fills a pipeline for less.
RUN IT THIS WEEK
Add up everything you spent last month on tools that touch prospecting, every seat and every credit. This is your real spend across the stack, and it is usually higher than the headline price of any single plan.
Count the meetings that actually got booked from that work. Ignore emails sent and open rates, because a shrinking list can flatter both while the pipeline goes empty.
Divide spend by meetings for each tool, then add the human hours it costs you. The tool with the lowest cost per meeting wins, and it is almost never the one with the lowest number on its pricing page.
WHY IT WORKS
Cheaper per token, per credit, or per seat is a number vendors chose because it makes them look affordable. Cheaper per outcome is the number that decides whether your stack survives a lean year. In a market where reply rates keep falling, the team that measures cost per booked meeting reallocates budget months before the team still reading pricing pages.
See you tomorrow with the next play.
