Welcome to The Revenue AI Brief. One AI revenue play, every day, no filler. Here is today’s.

The play: control the sales call from the first minute

Most founders walk into a sales call as the expert and start talking. You know the product cold, so you over-explain, concede early, and treat every call like a demo. The buyer feels the eagerness, and the price of the deal quietly goes up while your authority goes down.

We control the call with three sentences instead of a script. Decide what the call is about, what counts as a fit, and when it ends. Buyers mirror the energy you bring, so you set a calm frame in the first two minutes and let the diagnosis do the work.

How to run it this week

  1. Break their control. When they open with just send pricing, answer: happy to, once I know it is a fit. Price only means something after the diagnosis.

  2. Act like the prize. Tell them you are selective about who you take on because the work only goes well with the right fit. Now they show you why they qualify.

  3. Own the clock. Open with we have thirty minutes, let us make them count. A stated end keeps the call tight and moves it forward when it stalls.

Why it works

Control means deciding the terms of the conversation before you defend a number. It is teachable: three sentences, each with a reason, so the next person who sells for you can run the same play. Full breakdown on the blog: https://gc.growthcab.com/founder-led-sales

See you tomorrow with the next play.
